We attach ourselves and connect better to ideas, products and brands that have a story to them. As we talk about our work, let’s bring our listeners into our world and even the opposite, paint a picture for our clients so they can see their brand story told through our eyes.

A rule of thumb I find very effective is to “story tell first then transition into your techniques.” Paint a picture of “why” you’re doing this project and bring them in. Next is “what” did you do in creating a connection between the project and how that solves a problem. Finally, “how” are your design decisions connecting the listener to the project and what emotions should they be compelled to feel.
